Storing BPC-157 correctly is the difference between a peptide that stays intact and one that quietly degrades. The right temperature depends on whether the peptide is dry or reconstituted and on how long you plan to keep it. Here is a straightforward guide.

Why temperature matters so much

Peptides are chains of amino acids held together by bonds that break down faster when they are warm. Cold slows every one of those reactions. That is the whole logic of peptide storage: keep the molecule cold enough that degradation happens as slowly as possible. It is worth being clear that dry and reconstituted forms are two different storage problems. The freeze-dried powder has no water for those reactions to run in, so it is stable and forgiving. Repeatedly freezing and thawing a reconstituted solution is hard on a peptide. Each cycle is another round of stress on the molecule, so if freezing a solution is ever appropriate, doing it once rather than many times is far gentler. Splitting material into smaller portions before freezing, so you only thaw what you need, is a common way to avoid putting the whole batch through repeated cycles.

Common storage mistakes

  • Leaving vials on the bench. Even short warm spells add up over time.
  • Storing near the fridge door. That is the warmest, most temperature-variable spot; the back of a shelf is steadier.
  • Breaking the seal early. Air and moisture reach a dry powder once the seal is compromised.
  • Ignoring light. Prolonged light exposure is an avoidable stressor.
